Here is a free tool that will sit and monitor folders and render .mp4 and .mkv video files that are placed in the folders.  It works by making a folder based on handbrake presets and then renders files based on the presets.

Over the years, I have found and used many little utilities.  I thought it would be great if I gathered them up and made a list for other people to see.  I still use most of them every week, whether it be for work, or for personal use.  Some of my most used are 7zip, ShareX, MPC-HC, and Handbrake.  All of the programs on this list are free and a good chunk of them are open source.  I will continue to update this list over time as I continue to find and use new utilities.
